Dental Bridges
Another good way to replace a missing tooth is by placement of dental bridges. A dental bridge consists of placing one or more dummy teeth (missing teeth) between two existing teeth.

What to expect
-
During a consultation, we will determine if you need a traditional dental bridge or a cantilever bridge.
Several factors are taken into consideration:
Size of gap
Condition of surrounding teeth
Personal preference
Overall health of teeth and gums
-
We will administer a local anesthetic to numb the area, take a digital scan of your mouth, reshape the surrounding teeth, place a temporary dental bridge (dummy tooth).
A digital scan is send to a lab, who will create the permanent dental bridge by using CAD/CAM (computer aided design and manufacturing) technology.
After two weeks, the permanent dental bridge is placed by one our experienced dentists.
-
Dental bridges require the same care as natural teeth; however, it does require additional flossing with a special floss, called Super Floss, to clean underneath the dummy tooth.
It is recommended to avoid extremely hard food and chewing on very hard and dense substances.
