Dentures

Dentures are a removable replacement for missing teeth. Dentures are custom made, it’s not a one size fits all kind of solution. Dentures are a less invasive and less expensive option for the replacement of one or more missing teeth.

Complete Dentures

Full replacement of teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw.

o   Full dentures are made when you are missing all of your teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Full dentures are a good way to improve eating, talking and of course appearance.  Dentures can improve your smile and boost your confidence. They rest on top of the gum/palate. Sometimes you may need to use special denture adhesive to keep the denture in place.

o   You don’t have to be a day without teeth. The denture will be custom made for you, before removal of the teeth. Once the teeth are removed, you can immediately place the denture, that’s why it’s called immediate denture. Most of the time immediate dentures, are temporary. Once the extraction wounds have healed, we might have to fill up the denture (rebasing) or make a new denture.

Partial Dentures

Partial prosthetics for the replacement of one or more teeth.

o   Partial dentures is custom designed for you to fill the gaps of one or more missing teeth.  This type of denture not only rests on the gum/palate. Metal clasps around the tooth are keeping this kind of denture firmly in place and gives more chewing comfort. Adhesive is not necessary for these kinds of dentures. One of the disadvantages of this system is that you might see the metal clasps which gives it a less aesthetic result.
